Priti Khurana

Priti is the Managing Partner at Khurana Law with more than 18 years of legal experience. She completed her articles at a boutique personal injury law firm in Toronto and was admitted to the Ontario bar before she returned to her hometown of Vancouver.

Priti started building her local legal practice at a downtown Vancouver law firm defending ICBC claims. For the past ten (10) years, Priti has focused her practice on plaintiff personal injury law. She represents injured motorists to help bring justice to their claims with at-fault motorists and insurance companies. Her prior experience with ICBC and defending against claims enables her to help her clients navigate ICBC claims more precisely. Priti is dedicated to making a real difference by working hard to make sure her clients receive their entitled accident benefits or long term disability benefits and a fair settlement from ICBC.Priti has appeared for both plaintiffs and defendants before the Ontario and British Columbia Courts.

Her fluency in Punjabi and Hindi brings clarity and ease to clients more comfortable speaking these languages, especially in times of stress.

REPRESENTATIVE CASES

Khosa v. Kalamatimaleki, 2014 BCSC 2060

Priti was counsel on this significant case involving serious injury. The Plaintiff was a Licensed Practical Nurse injured in a motor vehicle collision as a result of which she had to abandon her career plan to become a Registered Nurse working in a very specialized field. She sustained physical and psychological injuries. After seven days at trial and further written submissions she was awarded total damages in excess of $1,145,000.

Dhaliwal v. Pillay, 2015 BCSC 509

Priti was counsel on this case that went to trial for five days and resulted in an award in excess of $300,000. The Plaintiff was involved in two motor vehicle collisions that resulted in injuries that prevented him from pursuing a career as a priest. The Court awarded damages for pain and suffering, past and future loss of income, the cost of future care and personal expense.

Naiodro v Gill, 2019 BCSC 1857

Priti was lead Plaintiff’s counsel for this case in which a single mother was involved in a serious car accident in which she had to reduce her working hours as a taxi dispatcher due to her accident related injuries.
